According to a report published on the official website of Apple, John Ternus will become the new CEO of Apple on September 1, 2026, replacing Tim Cook after the company’s board approved the leadership change.
John Ternus is currently Apple’s Senior Vice President of Hardware Engineering and has worked at Apple for more than 25 years. He helped develop many Apple products, including the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, AirPods, and Apple Silicon chips.
Ternus said he is thankful for the opportunity to lead Apple in the future. He also said that both Steve Jobs and Tim Cook played an important role in shaping his career at Apple.
